Pennsylvania will receive $26.5 million toward fighting addiction to heroin and painkillers — the fourth-highest grant in a new federal effort to address the overdose crisis.
Pennsylvania’s grant comes through the 21st Century Cures Act is among $450 million in grants awarded this week to all 50 states.
The grants are intended to provide funding for prevention efforts and treatment and recovery programs for addicts.
